Meet Owner Kimberly Crawford
Engineering for Kids of Hubertus is owned and operated by Kimberly Crawford, a native of Southeastern Wisconsin and a native to Brookfield, WI. As a mother with a background in mechanical & design engineering, Kimberly wants to encourage young children (especially girls) to pursue engineering careers. Most recently Crawford served as Chief Xploratory Officer of PartsBadger, the Cedarburg-based firm nationally recognized for its leadership in manufacturing custom parts for a variety of industries. She was also recently named a “Notable Woman in Engineering” by the Milwaukee BizTimes.
“Our school systems need assistance in providing those in grade school-through-high school with greater opportunities in STEM and Engineering. Our NEW Learning Center located in Hubertus, WI will provide children and teens with greater exposure to the wide variety of opportunities in engineering. By providing children with this head start, the next generation can pursue the avenues that best suit them, and in turn, they can be both happy and successful. Not only will we be able to mix fun and engineering for younger children, but I’m looking forward to working with our school districts to increase opportunities for their students.” – Kimberly Crawford
