Veterans Day Camp @ Primavera
Apprentice Camp (Age 7-14) Coasters/Lego Robotics: Tug of War
AM Session - Coasters
Working in teams, students will use the Engineering Design Process, to design and build a roller coaster and will need to use teamwork, trial and error achieve various objectives and outcomes for their coaster designs.

PM Session - Lego Robotics - Tug of War
Working in teams, kids will brainstorm, design and build robots to compete in a fun tug of war tournament against other robot teams. Students will build robots to compete on a smooth surface and then modify their robots to compete again on a rough surface.

Junior Camp (Age 4-6) Jr Lego Robotics/Marble Runs and Coasters
AM Session - Jr Lego Robotics
Working in teams of two, kids will build robots and program them on laptops to complete simple tasks. The first build will be a hungry alligator and and the second build will be a mechanical spinner toy!

PM Session - Marble Runs and Coasters
In the afternoon session, we will be exploring the exciting world of mechanical engineering as we first design a working marble run. Kids will have to use trial and error to build a run that gets the ball safely to the bottom of the run. The class will conclude with the kids working in a large group to build a coaster that can successfully complete a loop.

Kids Night Out @ Makutu Island Lego Robotics: Sumo Bots

Friday November 13th (6:00 - 9:00pm)

In this fun Kids Night Out event, kids will work in teams to design build and test robots to compete against other robots in a sumo style robot battles. After testing and modifications have been made, the night will end with a fun Sumo Bot tournament to see whose bot will reign supreme!

Saturday Engineering Workshop @ Primavera
Air Powered Rockets and Gliders

Saturday November 21st (1:00 - 4:00 pm)

Come join us for an afternoon of aerospace fun! In this class, kids will build rockets to launch off our customized air powered rocket launcher. After our initial testing, kids will come back in and build their gliders. These gliders attach to their rockets for our second round of testing. The rockets are launched straight up into the air and release the glider once the rocket reaches apogee. Concepts explored include gravity, lift, thrust, trajectory and apogee. This class is great as a parent child interactive class. Kids age 4-6 are required to have a parent participate. Kids age 7 and up may be dropped off or participate with a parent. Click Here to Register

STEM related fields are projected to be one of the fastest growing and highest paying occupational fields over the next 20 years. Sparking a child's interest early and getting them involved at an early age can motivate them to take their studies in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math seriously. Our programs help bridge the gap between concepts learned in the classrooom and how they apply to real life situations and scenarios. Engineering for Kids offers the most comprehensive set of programs out there for kids! If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call at 480-779-8184.
All the Best!

Engineering for Kids is a leading enrichment provider that teaches Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education to kids in a unique, fun, and inspiring way through classes, camps, clubs, and parties. We are proud to stimulate children to build on their natural curiosity by teaching science and engineering concepts through hands-on learning. We encourage scientific literacy in children in an age when science is as vital as reading, writing and arithmetic. Engineering is also, after all, one of the fastest growing industries in the world! Kids are natural engineers, and we inspire them to think about math and science in a different way, potentially making them more aware of this profession and a possible future career.

At Engineering for Kids, our unique STEM curriculum:

• Help children ages 4-14 build problem solving skills
• Encourage kids to discover how things work while sparking their imagination
• Increase kids' desire to explore engineering as a career option
• Motivate kids to learn math and science concepts by engaging them in real-world engineering problems

***Each of our units is designed to meet National Educational Standards in STEM: Science (NSES), Technology & Engineering (ITEEA), and Mathematics (NCTM)***
